Security and responsible disclosure

A safe route for reporting website and platform vulnerabilities

Cybersecurity Advances welcomes good-faith reports about vulnerabilities in its public website and editorial infrastructure. Manuscript submissions, research papers and general editorial correspondence are not accepted through this route.

Safe testing boundary

  • Do not access, alter, retain or disclose another person's data.
  • Do not upload malware, send spam, degrade availability or perform denial-of-service testing.
  • Do not use social engineering, credential attacks or destructive exploitation.
  • Stop when sensitive data or unauthorized access is encountered and report only the minimum evidence needed.

Report contents

  • Affected URL or component and observed behavior.
  • Reproduction steps with non-destructive evidence.
  • Potential impact and suggested mitigation, if known.
  • A safe way to contact the reporter when an official security mailbox is activated.
Current launch channel: use the canonical contact-status page. A journal-domain security mailbox, response targets and safe-harbor wording will be published only after the accountable operator is formally approved.
